Science for Peace
Brera with the Umberto Veronesi Foundation to disseminate the Science for Peace Charter.
In 1986, on the occasion of the Year of Peace promoted by the United Nations, a group of experts and scientists gave life to a manifesto, the Seville Charter, containing the results of the most recent research on solidarity and non-violent behavior of human beings.
After thirty-one years we are honored to collaborate with the Umberto Veronesi Foundation to disseminate the Science for Peace Charter, which takes up and deepens the contents of the Seville Charter.
We have thought of a new graphic layout to illustrate the ten focal points and to facilitate a more immediate reception by young people, now targeted by the countless images of contemporary media. The product of this difficult undertaking manages to combine several expressive languages coordinated by a color and a layout that are certainly unusual.
This is what for us, in Brera, research means: an activity of analysis, study, dialectical comparison and artistic experimentation aimed at the development and linguistic evolution of our specificity. In the hope that this paper will meet public approval and, above all, prove to be useful, we hope that the peace intentions promoted by the Charter will be accepted by all.
