Department of Communication and Didactics of Art
Three year course
The course aims to train versatile and creative professionals able to carry out a range of different activities in the private and public sector: protection bodies, local authorities, foundations and private entities. In addition to a solid cultural background (history of art and architecture, archaeology, archives and the history and theory of conservation) all the theoretical, methodological and application tools are provided in order to manage communication and valorization.

Students must have a secondary school diploma or qualification. Overall, solid general knowledge is required, while particular skills in the field of drawing are not required. The access requirements are verified by means of a written test (an essay on a subject related to the history of art) and a subsequent aptitude interview.
Future Employment Prospects
The cultural training achieved during the three year diploma in the field of cultural heritage opens up to a number of different professions. Graduates will be able to carry out consultancy and support services to local conservation and protection bodies for the design and creation of valorization programmes, exhibition events, cultural services for the general public, for the use of monumental buildings, panoramic or urban parks as well as for promotional activities and editorial initiatives. Graduates will also be able to work as archive assistants in cultural institutions, galleries etc; organizers of exhibitions and activities in archaeological sites and “literary parks” (journeys that recall places in literature); specialists in the management of tourist communication and in the application of the new forms of multimedia and social communication; organizers of conferences and cultural events; communication specialists in museums, libraries, foundations and cultural institutions.
